🐴 意味と用法
hoof は名詞で、馬、牛、ヤギ、羊、鹿などの動物の足の先端にある硬い部分「ひづめ」を指します。複数形は hooves または hoofs となります。動詞としても使われ、「（ひづめで）歩く、蹴る」という意味になりますが、あまり一般的ではありません。「hoof it」という口語表現で「歩く、急いで行く」という意味で使われることがあります。
